Valens Semiconductor Appoints Semtech COO Asaf Silberstein to Board of Directors

Silberstein brings more than two decades of semiconductor leadership experience to support Valens Semiconductor’s growth across Audio-Video and Automotive connectivity markets.

Valens Semiconductor (NYSE: VLN), a leading provider of high-performance connectivity chipsets, announced the appointment of Asaf Silberstein, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Semtech Corporation, to its Board of Directors.

Silberstein brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the semiconductor industry, with extensive expertise in global operations, business execution and scaling technology companies. He has served as Chief Operating Officer of Semtech since 2023 and has held senior leadership positions at the company since joining in 2010.

Silberstein became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Semtech in March 2023, after previously serving as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations and Information Technology. Since joining Semtech in 2010, he has held a series of senior leadership roles overseeing the company's global operations. Prior to Semtech, Silberstein served as Vice President of Global Operations at Microsemi. Earlier, he spent seven years at PowerDsine, ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer prior to the company's acquisition by Microsemi. He has also held positions at 3Com and ECI Telecom.
