TransPak, a global provider of crating, packaging and logistics solutions, announced the opening of its new facility in Chonburi, Thailand, expanding the company's capabilities across Southeast Asia.
Located in the Namyong Terminal Free Zone in the Bueng Subdistrict of Si Racha District, the 2,318-square-meter (approximately 24,950-square-foot) facility offers packaging, final assembly, pack-on-site services and in-lane logistics for customers in Thailand and throughout Southeast Asia.
"From microchips to 40,000-pound equipment, TransPak has been protecting semiconductor equipment since the industry began," said Aung Zeya, Regional Manager of Southeast Asia at TransPak. "As Thailand's chip and electronics sector accelerates, customers need specialised packaging and engineering expertise on the ground, not an ocean away. Our new Thailand facility lets our customers focus on building the technology while we take care of how it travels."
TransPak's expansion comes as electronics and semiconductor manufacturers increase investment in Thailand. According to the Thailand Board of Investment, the country's electronics sector has attracted more than 1 trillion baht in investment since 2023. More than 331 billion baht across 224 projects has been directed toward printed circuit boards and electronic components, reflecting growing investment in areas including AI hardware and advanced semiconductor packaging.
The facility's location within the Namyong Terminal Free Zone gives TransPak a strategic base to support customers with faster, more customized packaging and logistics services as technology investment continues to grow across the region.
The TransPak Thailand facility provides a range of services designed to support customers in Southeast Asia, including:
As operations at the Thailand facility continue to scale, TransPak expects to expand its local team, creating additional employment opportunities in the region while building the expertise and capacity needed to support growing customer demand.
The new operation expands TransPak's presence in Southeast Asia and strengthens the company's ability to provide local support backed by its global network. The investment reflects TransPak's continued focus on establishing capabilities close to customers in critical technology markets, including data centers, data servers and semiconductors.
