India has made considerable progress towards its goal of training 85,000 semiconductor engineers through the Chips to Startups (C2S) Programme, an initiative launched by the Government of India as part of the India Semiconductor Mission.
The programme focuses on developing talent by providing training, upskilling opportunities and workforce development to strengthen the country’s semiconductor ecosystem.
Ashwini Vaishnaw, India’s Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics and IT, said the country has made notable progress over the past four years towards achieving its 10-year objective of building a large pool of engineers with expertise in semiconductor design and related technologies.
